"Like many seasoned readers of all things about the Anglo-Zulu war my own catalyst was the splendid film 'ZULU' (not forgetting of course the “prequal” Zulu Dawn).  This was the last tick on my 'bucket list' when I went solo to the battlefields in 2017; we spent a most emotional and splendidly informative four and a half days walking and exploring the two sites (Isandlewana and Rorkes drift).  I was amazed how compact (for that read small) the Rorkes Drift enclosure actually was and the scale of Isandlwana had you almost looking over your shoulder looking for a warrior with an Assegei; a tremendously moving and historic few days to be rememebered for the rest of my life.
The first 60 photos were taken in the area of the Isandlwana Battle.  The remaining 40 photos were taken at Rorkes Drift.
