"What can one say about New Zealand...'the land of the long white cloud.' Like many visitors my incentive to go was the scenery in the Lord of the Rings film and of course the “Wanaka” bi-annual airshow. We ended up going twice!! It’s a long way though. Our first visits were pre-the christchurch earthquake and some of the images here are now gone forever. So diverse is the landscape that an ever changing kalaedescope of terrain means you are constantly reminded of other places you have visited. The peole are warm, polite and friendly, like living back in England 50 years ago. On one occasion the hotel where we had stayed earlier was full up on our return visit and we ended up staying in their private home!"
